Govt. to conduct door to door screening to combat cancer: Anupriya Patel, MoS, Health and Family Welfare The government is planning to adopt a population-based screening approach for early detection of cancer. This was revealed by Minister of State for Health and Family Welfare - Anupriya Patel at ASSOCHAM's Women's Health Confluence in New Delhi. She also listed several initiatives that the government is undertaking to combat the rise in Non-Communicable Diseases such as Cancer in India. The Minister spoke of the importance of women's health for the country and commended ASSOCHAM for its initiatives to create awareness about such critical issues. Govt to set up 20 State Cancer Institutes and 50 Tertiary Cancer Care Centres - Anupriya Patel, MoS, Health and Family Welfare The government of India plans to set up 20 State Cancer Institutes and 50 Tertiary Cancer Care Centres.
